Ryan Dunn, star of MTV's Jackass TV series and movies, was killed along with an unidentified person Monday in a car accident, close friends of his family told CNN. The Jackass stuntman was 34.

Dunn’s vehicle appeared to be the only car involved in the accident, and police confirmed that Dunn was driving when the accident happened on a West Goshen, Pennsylvania highway around 3:30 AM Monday morning.

The following photo shows the mangled car discovered at the scene of the accident, which is believed to be Dunn's Porsche 997 GT3. According to local police, the Porsche flew over a guardrail, shot through about 40 yards of trees and hit one last one that sent the car bursting into flames. Dunn and the passenger were found dead when police arrived.

Police also don't know whether alcohol was a factor — but Dunn did tweet out the following picture from his Tumblr account hours before his death.

Dunn was known mostly for his dangerous stunts and practical jokes in the Jackass movies with long-time friend Bam Margera, who he had filmed with since the days of the independent CKY films which led way to the Jackass franchise. Dunn also co-hosted a show on the G4 network called Proving Ground.
MTV released this statement via Twitter regarding the death of Ryan Dunn:
"We're deeply saddened by the passing of a member of the MTV family, Ryan Dunn. Our hearts and thoughts are with his friends and family."
