After a grotesque episode of sexual assault allegations against Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, some celebrities took to Twitter to express their disgust, but most remained silent.
Following these accusations against Weinstein and other public figures, like Bill Cosby, Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly, many men are getting nervous and have started to distance themselves from women to avoid getting accused of sexual harassment.
Revelations of the disgusting secret of the movie mogul harassing women, including Lena Dunham, Brie Larson and Amber Tamblyn, resulted in Weinstein getting fired from his own company, but it generally met with a defining silence from a majority of celebrities.
Most talk show hosts, who are otherwise ready to slam such people publicly, also remained hush hush on Weinstein’s monstrosity.
But Samantha Bee isn’t the one to mince words when it comes to slamming harassment. While taking a jab at Weinstein, she gave some pertinent “business advice” to men who can’t control their sexual desires in front of female colleagues in the workplace.
“Fellas, I’m a big comedy star slash Hollywood executive, and I’ve found that it’s quite easy not to masturbate in front of my employees. In fact, it’s one of the easiest things I don’t do. Every day, I wake up, get dressed, take the subway to work, and then don’t masturbate in front of anyone,” she said on her show “Full Frontal.”
“Next time you get the urge to masturbate,” Bee continued with her handy advice, “just ask yourself, ‘Am I in front of an employee or a colleague?’ And if the answer is yes, don’t. Just don’t.’”
“Your d*** is ugly,” she broke the news to men. “No one wants to see your d***, in any context. Even the straightest, horniest woman who loves you the most is hoping you can get it inside her without having to look at it.”
The host also gave a reality check to men like Weinstein.
“And definitely don’t whip it out at film festivals,” she said, in the first and only reference to Weinstein. “Your d*** is objectively the worst thing about you,” she added.
“Don’t masturbate in front of people who haven’t specifically asked you to, and even then, stop and ask yourself, ‘What is our power dynamic? Is there a chance in hell that this person might only be agreeing to see my hideous dick out of fear for their career?’ If so, make a good business choice and keep your business in your pants. Good talk, guys.”
Truer words have never been spoken and Twitter fell in love with Bee’s brutal takedown.
