So, What’s So Huge About Kanye’s B Word?

If you have heard Kanye West songs you are pretty used to the ‘B’, ‘F’, ‘M’ words he peppers liberally in them. So what’s the big deal with this one? Well, for one, he dedicated his song “Perfect B^*#h” to none other than his current girlfriend, Kim Kardashian! And then he started a debate on his Twitter account regarding the very same. Well, you can hardly call it a debate; it was more like a rant to self. His account right now is littered with tweets like:

I usually never tweet questions butI struggle with this so here goes...Is the word BITCH acceptable?

To be more specific, is it acceptable for a man to call a woman a bitch even if it's endearing?

The problem? He called his girl a B*&^% in a song and there are those out there who refuse to understand it was not a term meant as a profanity but an endearment instead.

One would say a b*&^% is a *&^% is a *&^%, no matter how you say it. But on the other hand the word *&^% has in recent times broaden its meanings well beyond what it was a couple of decades ago.

With time the term has been used more and more often in a positive way as it has evolved in to a term for a strong woman who often pisses people off by her unwillingness to bend or pretend to be dumb just to get accepted under pre set norms.

Yes, it is a derogatory term used for eons as a profanity. But times change and so do things. In the 21^st century a bitch is not necessarily a conniving, bad woman. She is a strong woman who has the courage to stand up for what she believes I right and does not cover from confrontation. She is no sissy.

So when Kanye calls his woman a perfect she-dog, he actually is giving her a compliment. Granted it may not be a compliment for the bigger part of the world population. Fair enough. But it is a compliment as he means it and we are sure his ladylove, the paparazzi queen Kim Kardashian has taken it as such!

Also, no one can deny that the words matter as they are meant not just for what they are. The word doll for a girl for instance could be used in describing her cuteness in looks as well as in criticizing them as being a dummy.

It’s how you use a term that matters. So let’s cut a guy some slack. He is lucky to have a Perfect B^*#h in his life. He feels like shouting to the world how lucky he is. Let him!
