Media has long speculated that “Royals” singer Lorde may be older than her publicly stated age of 17. However, “South Park” thinks it’s not just her age she is hiding.
It’s more than that.
In the latest episode of Season 18 – which premiered late September – the Comedy Central sitcom joked about Lorde’s “true identity.”
According to South Park, the teen celebrity is none other than Stan’s dad Randy Marsh – a talented researcher of fluvial geomorphology who created the Lorde alter ego when he wanted to use the women’s bathroom.
Plus, the singer is not even from New Zealand.

Shortly after the sketch was aired, Lorde, much to the surprise of many, tweeted her approval of the episode, adding it “has a message of transgender acceptance.”

this is actually surprisingly cute - and from what i can tell also has a message of transgender acceptance (i'm still very new with this type of humour so i'm not sure if was actually genuine but it seemed so to me)
“Well sh*t this is downright sweet,” Lorde posted in another video of the show. “Take that haters I got a south park episode.”
