Stephen Colbert Graces EW Covers As Hobbit Characters

It’s no secret that Stephen Colbert is an avid fan of J.R.R. Tolkien’s work, which is why it surprised no one when the Comedy Central satirist graced the cover of Entertainment Weekly in the guise of three The Hobbit characters.

What is surprising, however, is how convincing a job he has done in all three getups. Dressed as Gandalf, Bilbo, and Legolas, the 50-year-old comedian will grace the covers of EW’s upcoming edition. The magazine will not only contain Colbert’s entire Hobbit-inspired photo-shoot, but it will also feature his views on Tolkien’s fans as well as his interview of Peter Jackson.
