Sydney Lucas is the youngest performer ever to win an Obie.

In what is being called a show-stopper of the 2015 Tony Awards, 11-year-old Sydney Lucas performed “Ring of Keys,” a song from Fun Home, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The Sam Gold-directed musical, which is the first mainstream musical with a lesbian protagonist, was the big winner of the night, bagging five trophies in top categories like best musical, best director of a musical, best actor in a musical and best book of a musical.

Lucas portrays the younger version of its lead character Alison Bechdel, a role which made her the youngest performer to win an Obie award.

This is what the talented young starlet had to say about her “sexuality-discovering” character to the Hollywood Reporter:

"People need to be allowed to be who they actually are. They can't be who somebody else wants them to be. I don't know why people care about, 'Oh no, you can't like this person.' I don't understand because I don't know what hurts someone else if a person likes somebody. How is it gonna hurt you? Just let them be who they want to be."
