There's No Earthly Reason “Hobbit” Fans Won't Love This Flight Safety Video

For once, "the most epic" is justified – it's right in the title of Air New Zealand's new in-flight safety video.

Flight safety videos are usually boring, but not this one.

With the help from some of the cast and crew members of "The Hobbit" film trilogy, Air New Zealand has released a new in-flight safety video, “The Most Epic Safety Video Ever Made.”

It shows how two Hobbit fans – superfans to be precise – board a flight and get the surprise of their lives when the find out Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) is seated across the aisle.

However, it all gets even more exiting for the flabbergasted pair after an Elven flight attendant reveals they have landed in Middle-earth – that’s actually New Zealand.

The video is part of a cross-promotion with the upcoming – and the final – Hobbit movie: The Battle of the Five Armies, which hits theaters on Dec. 17.

Apart from appearances by Sylvester McCoy (who plays Radagast the Brown) and Dean O'Gorman (the dwarf Fili) the ad also features a surprise cameo by Peter Jackson – the director of The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit trilogies.
