Andrew Garfield appeared on the Tonight Show on Thursday night and did something he claimed he had never done before in public.
The actor revealed quite a lot of stuff about himself on the show including the fact that he was learning to play the guitar and did very simple Cat Stevens and Neil Young covers.
The information was enough for host Jimmy Fallon, who immediately reached behind his desk and pulled out a guitar.
After a lot of cheering and encouragement from the crowd, Garfield agreed to perform, adding it was the first time “ever” he would sing in public.
With Jimmy on the tambourine and Andrew on the guitar, the two played an incredible rendition of the Spider-Man theme song.
The actor was promoting his new superhero movie, the Amazing Spider-Man 2, in which he stars alongside Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, Dane DeHaan, Sally Field, and Chris Cooper.
Garfield and Stone haveremained under excessive media scrutiny ever since rumors about their off-screen relationship were confirmed in 2010. The two reportedlymet while filming the first installment of “The Amazing Spider-Man” series and have remained one of the prime targets for paparazzi photographers and tabloid reporters ever since.
Last week, Stone came on the Tonight Show and Jimmy Fallon challenged her to an amazing, eclectic lip-sync duel. You can watch it here.
