Putin, Obama And Dr. Phil Group Hug On The Tonight Show

April 25, 2014: President Obama and Vladimir Putin visit the Dr. Phil Show to solve the world’s biggest issue, with a little help from Jimmy Fallon.

On the Tonight Show, Dr. Phil’s discussion focused on a very serious issue – troubled relationships – for a very special segment.

The first two guests he called onstage were engaged in a very public spat for the past few months; however they were willing to work it out. Enter Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Barack Obama.

It’s a well-documented fact that the two world leaders have always been a part of a troubled relationship that not only affects both of them but also their people and allies.

It was, therefore, crucial that they make an effort to settle their differences and at least try to listen to each other’s point of view without accusing or blaming each other.

Dr. Phil asked both “Vladi” and “Barry” to open up about the “nature of their communication” and how often the two talked to each other, whereupon a fuming response came from the U.S. president.

Look, I am the one who’s always reaching out. You know. I call and he [Putin] doesn’t pick up. I send a text and three days later I get a text back that says sorry I just got this,” Obama said exclaiming,“B***h you know I am spying on you!”

An annoyed Putin replied, “You are smothering me. I get about twenty text messages from this guy. It’s like I am a teenage girl and he’s James Franco.”

Though initially Vlad and Barry disagreed on almost everything, later in the segment Dr. Phil managed to let their inner “little boys” out and get them to group hug.
