Pop star Lady Gaga has released the first music video for her new album "ARTPOP", set for release on November 11.
The first single "Applause" is an up-tempo tune Gaga said she wrote while sidelined with a hip injury earlier this year.
Gaga, who calls her fans "little monsters", will release a social media app ahead of the album on September 1, in an attempt to make connections between music, art, fashion and technology.
The Grammy-winning singer first rose to prominence in 2008 with the release of her album "Fame" and is well known for her outrageous costumes and provocative music videos.
Gaga will return to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25th, where she is expected to perform "Applause".
