Halftime at the Super Bowl XLVII is going to be sizzling. And why not? With Beyonce in attendance, can it be anything but?

The question however is, will she be able to beat Madonna’s 2012 mind blowing performance?

Though Beyonce’s performance is expected to reach a massive audience across the world, It is very unlikely that it will outshine Madonna’s Roman-themed extravaganza from last year.

There are rumors of Beyonce’s former Destiny’s Child group mates joining her on stage but no confirmations have come so far. There definitely will be other additions to the show but a Destiny's Child reunion will be a push in the right direction for her.

Have look at the Material girl’s performance:

Wow. That’s all one can say. Love her or hate her, Madonna knows how to leave an impression. The lady has energy, charisma, and a unique combination of wickedness and gorgeousness that is simply out of this world. The way she captures her audience and performs even after all these years and at her age is amazing.

She may have no competition from the performers of yore including the likes of The Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Slash Bruce Springsteen Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Prince and Janet Jackson but even their grand performances pale before Madonna’s 2012 performance and Beyonce in all her glory will have a tough turf to fight for!

Yes, Beyonce is Beyonce, the reigning queen of the moment. Her performance at the inauguration is just one example of her superb personality and singing qualities but a match for the Material girl? Alas, no.

Even the question whether or not Beyonce will pull a repeat from her “Star-Spangled Banner” Inauguration performance and lip-sync at the Super Bowl doesn’t really matter. Lip-synching isn't new for events like the Super Bowl. In 2009, Jennifer Hudson lip-synched openly the national anthem to limit the chances of possible mistakes.

Team Beyoncéand the NFL are not letting on the plans of the performance but it is expected to be spectacular. Whether it will be able to beat the 116 million viewership from last year is another question!
