Trend 1: Use Of Neon Colors:

Neon was seen again and again on the runway during NY Fashion Week spring/summer 2013 both in youthful and business styles.
Trend 2: More And More Stripes!

Many designers including Yamamoto and Jacob featured stripes at the NYFW. Y-3 by Yamamoto also showed a penchant for black and white stripes. Designers such as Alexander Wang, DKNY, and Diane von Furstenberg softened their edges, while Tommy Hilfiger took inspiration from the 1960s dandies.

Pastels were chiefly present in the spring 2013 collections That were used in a number of strong looks by various designers and were also evident in swimwear.

One trend that could not be missed was the pleasing peplum style on runways for couture gowns, casual daywear and even suiting practical for the office. Peplum is known to hide all the flaws and would likely be one of the most copied and repeated style in the next year!
Trend 5: Lots And Lots Of Delicious Yellows

Creamy, light yellows were one of the Fashion Week trends that could wind up in your closet next summer. Most designers served up some shade of yellow in their collection.

Summer’s all about spending time around the sea and tanning those beach bodies! Keeping that in mind, all the NYFW designers added a fresh touch to their collections by adding in a touch of and hints of the beach to their dresses.
Trend 7: Rule With White

Every season white dominates as the color of the season. Victoria Beckham’s collection featured a lot of white as did Rag & Bone and Ralph Rucci and almost every other designer brought up white on the ramp!

This is a trend that has always been there, it is everlasting! Aside from the harnesses, leather was seen in blouses, skirts, and shorts.

There was no avoiding them. Almost every designer sent models down the runway in all manner of prints – mostly florals! Make sure you include some prints in your wardrobe for next year!
