Mothers of teenage daughters have a trainload of worries keeping them up at night: hormones, boys, makeup, sleepovers, freaky rock’n’roll inspired fashion, unprotected sex, teenage pregnancies and what not!
Chantal Marshall, mother of 14 year of Britney Marshal’s concern is a tad different, to say the least. She is concerned, as her daughter, the youngest of five, has no interest in getting a breast implant. Being the only one in her family, who does not yet have one, makes her an oddity and a source of concern to her mother.
She feels her daughter is going through a ‘funny phase’ in her life.
Chantal, 53, is a size 32GG after four procedures; her daughters Emma-30, Ripley-21, Terri-27 and Tara-26 are 32GG, 32DD, 34HH and 34F respectively.
It may be shocking to hear of a mother’s concern for a daughter’s lack of interest in breast enhancement surgery, but it is not rare.
Despite recession, there has been a rise in cosmetic procedures being done in the UK. Data from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) showed more than 10,000 of the 43,000 procedures were breast augmentations.
