Call them fashion mistakes or fashion faux pas, we have all made them at one time or another. Tallskinnyrich.com editor Suze Yalof Schwartz appeared on Good Morning America (GMA) to help reveal 3 common fashion mistakes and the inexpensive ways you can fix them!
Making yourself look short
One common fashion mistake people make is making yourself look shorter than you are. In the first example, the model was wearing crop pants and a boxy top that went past her hips, making her look shorter than she is. To fix this problem the model put on a hat, which added a couple inches, and some 6” platform shoes along with flared denim jeans that covered up the shoes. The top she wore went above her hips, elongating her leg line. You don’t have to wear super high shoes for this effect, but wearing some that give you a bit more height and wearing jeans that reach the bottom of the shoe will give you the same effect.
Making yourself look bigger
The second model’s fashion mistake was wearing a printed, shapeless dress with black shoes. Wearing shapeless printed dresses will always make you look heavier than you actually are. To fix this problem Suze put the model in a solid colored wrap dress and some nude pumps. Solid colors will make you look thinner and nude shoes will give the illusion of an endless leg.
Wearing a white under white and pants too tight
The next common fashion mistake women make is wearing a white bra underneath a white shirt. You will be able to see through the top so wearing a nude bra is the only way to go. Also if you can see the details in your pants, such as wrinkling and rippling, they are too tight! To fix this wear a trouser pant instead that does not hug your legs.
