Now this is something unbelievable. With 4ft 9in in length and with a weight of over 91lb, this big fish has finally been labeled as the largest found in European Waters so far.
Caught by angler Marten Hvam off the island of Soroya in the Norwegian Sea, the fish is being said to make more than 150 fish and chip suppers. Isn’t that mouth-watering?

Many other gigantic cod have been caught this year with some of them weighing above 60lbs. However, this one has been able to surpass them all.
According to Paul Stephens who works for Angling Direct Holidays, 'Cod in British waters aren’t allowed to grow to any decent size because they are trawled to death by the British, French and Spanish’.
With greater control of Norway over its waters there is lot of cod fishing that can be done. It is primarily because of the presence of these large size fish that angling business in Norway has almost doubled in recent years.
