Black Friday might be a crazy experience, but it's almost always a safe crazy experience. That said, there are examples of when shoppers have lost control and a fun days shopping turns really dark.
Here are four instances when Black Friday truly was black.
1. Woman uses pepper spray in hope of getting toy.
A woman injured 20 people when she tried to disperse a Black Friday crowd with pepper spray at a Walmart in a Los Angeles suburb in 2011.
What was so important that she needed to use pepper spray? Discounted Xbox's of course.
Luckily, nobody was seriously hurt and the incident wasn't enough to close the store.
Black Friday had to go on.

4. Stampede Tramples Walmart Employee To Death
In 2008, a large crowd outside a Walmart in New York attempted to forcibly enter the store before it opened. One employee tried to hold back the crazed shoppers and was trampled and died.
