There are multiple reasons for us to not like Facebook. The irritating advertisements, horrible timeline changes, extra drama, inane posts and unlimited vacation photo albums from friends that make you feel depressed at the end of the day are simply put, annoying.
A lot has been talked about how teens are turning to Instagram and other social media platforms and are losing interest in Facebook. Out of an ocean of reasons, here we have four primary reasons why teenagers prefer Instagram over Facebook.
1. Absence of adults
a. No stalking relatives:
b. No parents, means no more unwanted affection.
c. Eventually, no more embarrassment!
2. More Privacy
a. Instagram isn’t tied to real user names; so it’s difficult for people to find you there.
b. No more erratic ever changing privacy settings, almost impossible to figure out.
c. So, you no longer have to worry who sees what!
3. It’s Less Social Of The ‘Unwanted Kind’
a. Means less stalkers
b. No creepy, unnecessary requests from your exes or friends you hated in school; or people you don’t know at all.
4. Less Drama
a. No lengthy comment threads.
b. No intense talks!
And on Instagram, you don’t end up feeling like killing yourself for making an account, like you sometimes do on Facebook.
So, we completely understand why teens consistently choose Instagram over Facebook, which is technically a very simple service and keeps them much happier –Facebook, believe it or not, is a source of many troubles in their social and personal lives right now.
