We have for the longest of times, expressed an interest in penguins through books, movies and cartoons. However, for the first time there is reason to believe that these creatures of the cold are equally interested in us.

The video shows travel blogger Joel Oleson lying on an island in Antarctic when a cute and adorable penguin baby, mesmerized by his presence comes to say hello.

At first the curious little creature thinks that he is just an over-sized rock and begins to jump on him, but then realizing it to be something completely different, the cheeky chappy takes greater interest and starts to peck Joel’s face and make a happy chirping sound.

The video has been viewed over 150,000 times on YouTube since it was posted back in February.
