We all
must
have seen many low-budget advertisements with brainless messages, but only once a generation does a social awareness advertisement can be as fanatical as the one created by a group of Ohio nuns calling themselves the Children of Mary.
They have launched an anti-contraception video by coupling some confusing statistics with bad power point generic art onto the Interwebs this weekend. The video titled“You Deserve to Know the Truth: Contraception” is made to persuade women that contraception is inappropriate and that birth control makes ladies less pleasing and less attractive to men.
Take a look at this amusing advertisement:
The video is based around the notion that the use of contraceptive pills fools women’s bodies into thinking that they’re pregnant, and thus blocks
the
all-important stream of pheromones. This confuses men and leads them to sexually interacting with other men.
This advertisement also refers to a 1970’s study in which a male monkey
became
got baffled and began to have "sexual interactions" with other males in the tribe, when female monkeys were injected with Depo-Provera, a- birth control drug.
The narrator concludes it by saying, "If someone you know is contracepting, tell them to stop. It will destroy them."
While the video doespoint out some likely side effects from oral contraception, including irritability, depression, blood clots, high blood pressure and migraines, there are some points where you can’t stop yourself from banging your head against the wall. Some of them are:
Overpopulation crisis is a myth, and in real we are near extinction!
“We’re not stray cats that need to be neutered. We should want to procreate knowing that every new person has a unique and a mortal soul destined to live for all eternity,” the narrator says. “Pregnancy is not a risk, it’s a privilege.”
Because of birth control, our rivers and streams and veins now flow with artificial hormones and that it is causing fish to be born infertile!
A study from the 1970s claimed an alpha male monkey starting having sex with other males when the females in his group were injected with Depo-Provera. Therefore, birth control will turn your boyfriend or husband gay, because humans are exactly like monkeys in every way!
People are More Important Then racehorses!
"If you had a valuable racehorse, because of its worth, you'd want it to have as many offspring as possible. But the value of a horse is nothing compared to the infinite value of each and every person."
This quote is the cherry on the cake!
