Britney Spears Work B: Should Women Tone Down Being Sexy After Having Kids?

by
Britney Spears just released a new song called “work b**ch” and in classic Britney style it was quite sexy. After the video released many questioned whether Britney should have made such a racy video considering she is a mother. Even Britney herself stated she requested over half the “work b**ch” video be cut out because she was uncomfortable with how sexy it was due to her motherhood. So the question begs to be asked, should women tone down being sexy after having kids?

As a woman there is a certain amount of sex appeal you have no matter what. And how much of it you choose to display is up to the individual and culture they live in. With that being said, the average mother does not go around in underwear and a bra with a whip in hand, as Britney Spears did in “work b**ch.” For celebrity moms, however, if you don’t feel comfortable with your children watching it, it’s probably too sexy.

In a radio interview in Boston, Britney Spears talked about the provocative “work b**ch” video: “We did way more stuff for the video than what is actually there. Like I cut out half the video because I am a mother, and because, you know, I have children, and it’s hard to play sexy mom while you’re being a pop star as well.

Although Britney Spears believed that the end product of “work b**ch” was acceptable to air, many mothers, including women that are not moms, still felt it was too sexy. Oh the story of Britney’s life, always too sexy. What do you think about “work b**ch”?  Is it too sexy? Or is this just another typical Britney Spears music video? And should women tone down their sex appeal after having children? Leave us a comment down below and let us know what your opinion.
