“It's the time of the year
When all good dreams come true”
Goes She & Him’s song "Christmas Wish."
We all make wishes on Christmas, but after years of disappointment, the hope that they will come true has faded for many. However, these touching stories will restore your faith in the Christmas spirit and make you keep wishing.
Airline Made Christmas Wishes Come True For All Its Passengers
The WestJetAirline granted its passengers' Christmas wishes on recent flights. They were asked to tell their wishes to a virtual Santa, but none of them would have thought that the airline would go through exhausting means to make them come true.
When the passengers arrived at their destination, they were greeted by 150 volunteer elves who handed over Christmas gifts ranging from iPads to a pair of socks. Everything the passengers wished for was in their hands. We bet the man with the pair of socks wishes he could reconsider his Christmas gift, but at least he wasn’t being greedy.
It may have been a publicity stunt, but the passengers surely won’t be complaining.
1,500 Christmas wishes come true in Kalamazoo
Stockbridge United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo, Mich., opened its doors to over 1,500 struggling and homeless people for the whole of Sunday afternoon and offered them warmth, food, clothes and Christmas gifts for their children.
Three hundred volunteers showed up from the community to make this special occasion possible.
“We’re just a little church in the inner city doing a big thing for the community,” said Lisa Clapp, one of the volunteers. “With the economy being so rough right now, people need more help at Christmas—with just the basics like coats and blankets—and it does my heart good to help people who need a hand up.”
Santa Made This Little Boy’s Christmas
All he wanted to see was his father, who hadn’t been home for a year, for Christmas. Santa made that possible and the look on the kid’s face was priceless.
Little Girls Christmas Wish Comes True
Like the little boy, these little girls also wanted their dad home for Christmas. They even threw pennies in a wishing well four days before this video was shot.
When they received a massive package, they knew it was from Santa, but its contents were a complete mystery.
Prayer Balloon Answered, Girls’ Christmas Wish Comes True
Adorable little Eva, 6, and Jasmine, 8 from Knoxville, Tenn., sent a prayer up in the sky on a balloon, wishing to be adopted by their new mother and father on Christmas.
It traveled from their church in east Tennessee all the way to Maryland. It landed in an RV park and the people who found it quickly mailed it back.
“I can just see God taking this balloon and blowing it in the right direction. To be found and be sent back to us to tell us he approves for us to be able to adopt these girls,” said Lynn their foster mother.
Lynn and her husband Dennis worked quickly to adopt the girls before Christmas.
With some extra effort from the agencies who work to find children “forever families,” a judge made the adoption official this week.
Now isn’t that a real dream come true?
