Social media does have its benefits. About a million people and at least one dog can vouch for it.
Beth-Andy Kohn Gresham was in Memphis, Tenn., when she saw a dog with its head stuck in a jar and in a terrible condition and took his photo. She wanted to help but he rushed off in to the woods. She didn’t know what to do but feared for the dog’s life.
After some thought she did what she could do least, she put the picture of the miserable dog on her Facebook.

The pitiable picture drew a large response from people who not only commented on the post but volunteered to look for the dog as well.
Gresham and a group of people succeeded in finding the dog the next day and freed him. Beth named the dog Freedom and posted a video of the lucky dog on Facebook.
Superb, isn’t it?
