Wedding Portraits

“There are good wedding photographers and there is Eric Ronald.” The words describe this amazingly gifted photographer exactly.

Photography is his passion and he has pursued it with all his heart and soul and boy, oh boy, has it paid off!

Ronald’s photography is anything but typical. He takes his subjects out of the conventional set ups and capture them in the most intriguing and beautiful surroundings.

Take these shots from Campbell and Belinda Stewart’s special day in Wanaka, New Zealand:

He loves capturing his brides and grooms in the fading light of the happening day – the magical hour:

And then there are the adventures that he is bound to come across in his risky feats. He not only welcomes them but also make them a part of his work.

Take this picture from Marcella and Adrian’s wedding:

Here’s the story behind it in Ronald’s own words:

“We discovered that a tree had fallen over the road leading up to the portrait location. We tried driving over it, lifting it, pushing it and even chopping it with an axe. It just wasn't going to budge. As the sun started to set we decided to walk the several km's up the steep track leading to the top of the hill. The light was disappearing quickly so we had to move fast. We made it just in time to take a few shots, including this one.”

Though Ronald has some indoor portraits and shots as well, his love for the great outdoors is more than apparent in his collection:

All said and done, colors, life and energy as it may abound in his photographs, his black and whites are just as magical and worth cherishing:

“Years ago when I left my day job to pursue my passions, all I knew was that I wanted to photograph weddings. I could never have imagined the places it would take me or the people I would meet,” he wrote as a caption to one of the photos.
