In this YouTube video hair tutorial uploaded by LuxyHair, Mimi shows viewers how to achieve a fall 2012 hair trend, the fishtail braid. This is a look that is perfect for many occasions such as: work, school, hanging out with friends, or even a date!

Of all the fall 2012 hair trends, the fishtail braid looks the most intricate and complex, but it’s pretty simple to do. All you need is a few bobby pins and a hair tie. Take two sections of your hair and hold them apart. Then taking one small piece from the outer side of one of those two pieces, bring a little piece of hair over to the other side of the hair. You just keep doing that from one side to the other until you are done braiding.

The fishtail braid can be really versatile. In this video, Mimi shows us the half up half down version. But you can also wear it in a ponytail, using all your hair. You can wear it to the side.
