Sometimes all we need is a little encouragement to keep going and luckily for many artists who need that extra push or a kind word, Jeff Hamada is at hand to do just that.
They can write to him at his art blog and get a positive response.
Most of the requests come from people unhappy with their writing or artwork, while some have yet to realize a long cherished dream or are suffering through health and relationship issues.
A couple of years ago, he asked his followers on Twitter to send in words of encouragement and support to such people.
What Jeff has done this time, however, is really brilliant. He took the requests and a bunch of beautiful postcards to an annual retreat for fellow artists in the Aloha State and asked them to pen down a few words of support for the various people on his list.
And here’s the result:
His art project is called ‘Love From Hawaii’- and is rightfully titled-who wouldn’t want to get a pat on the back and a kind word every now and then?
He took the initiative a little further and asked random strangers on the street if they wanted to encourage a stranger. Not many could say no.
"I think it will be a really powerful moment when these postcards reach their destinations all around the world," says Hamada; and he is absolutely right.
