Beyoncé is back and looking better than ever. On Sunday’s Superbowl halftime show, Beyoncé put on a performance that basically said “in yo’ face!” to her critics and all those who doubted her singing/performing abilities after the lip-synching scandal at the presidential inauguration ceremony last month. Aside from Beyoncé’s performance, many took notice of her clothing and makeup choices. Check out the video below to find out how to get Beyoncé’s halftime show makeup look.
The eyes were the main focus of this look. For the halftime show, Beyoncé went with a soft smoky gray look, and kept the rest of the face neutral allowing for the eyes to really pop. In this video Miss Maven used The Vice Palette by Urban Decay. You do not need to use this exact palette to achieve this look, you only need to use the same colors.
The eyes are fairly simple to do. You will only need three eye shadow colors. Begin with one dark gray shadow that covers from the lash line to the crease, using a fluffy blending brush. Then take a black and put it on the outer and inner corners of the eyes. Then blend very well. You can even use a little bronzer to warm it up. Then apply the light gray all along the lower lash line. Apply the black to the outer lower lash line. Then take a copper/bronze color and apply to the center of your lids. Then add some black eyeliner to the top lids. Add mascara. The trick is all in the detail. You also do not need to add any false lashes.
Apply a foundation that matches your skin color. Blend evenly. Then apply concealer which is 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone, underneath your eyes. Next apply a pink blush to the apples of your cheeks. Then apply a matte bronzer to contour your face. Beyoncé definitely had a lot of contouring going on. Her face was not shimmery though. So make sure not to put anything shimmery or sparkly on the face.
To finish off the look apply a nude lipstick and lip-gloss. There you have it! The completed Beyoncé halftime show makeup look. Let us know if you try it and what you think in the comments below.
