Girlfriend Of Face-Eating Man Rudy Eugene Says: “He Was Sweet”

The girlfriend of the face-eating man Rudy Eugene stated in an interview with Dr. Drew that “he was sweet”. The girlfriend, Yovonka Bryant, publically declared that she was surprised by her boyfriend Rudy Eugene’s actions as he was always very kind to her and her children. She stated that Rudy never indicated any signs of being capable of committing such a disgusting crime.

On May 26 in Miami off of the MacArthur Causeway Rudy Eugene was shot and killed by police officer Jose Ramirez. Rudy was seen on surveillance fighting with a homeless man Ronald Poppo and bit off most of his face. The reason for the attack remains a mystery but Poppo is expected to live.

Dr. Drew pointed out that Yovonka is emblematic of a concern that most women have which is, how can anybody know that the guy they are dating isn’t capable of doing awful things like this? Yovonka did express her doubts and worries about trusting men in the future. But she also wanted to let the public know what kind of a guy he was and that she still loves him.
