Heroic Mothers Who Risked Their Lives For Their Babies!

28-year-old Chiara Corbella’s death is all over the news world – as it should be. She sacrificed her chance to life for her unborn child.

Chiara and her husband Enrico Petrillo had been planning to have a family for some time but she lost two babies. So, when she became pregnant for the third time, it was hope a-new for both of them. But it was a time that fate chose to show that she had cancer which required immediate treatment. The treatment would have meant risking her baby. She refused treatment. Her son Francisco was born healthy on May 30th 2011. The doctors started Chiara’s treatment straight away but it was too late. She lost an eye in the process but never gave up. Fate however had other plans. The selfless mother breathed her last on June 13, 2012.

Chiara’s story is heart touching but not unique. Mothers are known to make sacrifices. But there are mothers like Chiara who cross all boundaries of sacrifice and do not fear giving up even their lives-something held most precious by one and all.

41-year-oldStacie Crimm’s pregnancy came as a ecstatic surprise to her. However her happiness was not lasting as she found out she had neck and head cancer that required treatment. She refused treatment for the sake of her baby due to be born. As her health deteriorated however, her daughter Dottie had to be delivered by C-Section.  Stacie’s conditioned had worsened by this time and she passed away just a few days later.

Joining the ranks are mothers like 17-year-old Jenni Lake, Jaimie Lowenberg, Susan Dibene and Nikki Bradshaw Carpenter who gave up all for their children.

A sacrifice of this magnitude can be made only by a mother.
