Valeria Lukyanova, also known as the real-life Barbie doll, is at the receiving end of a lot of criticism for her supposedly racist comments on interracial marriages.
In an interview to fashion magazine GQ Russia, the 28-year-old Ukrainian-Moldavian model stated that “degeneration” in children is caused by “race-mixing.”
However, what’s even more appalling is the fact that the mainstream media is actually debating on her statement, taking it up as another opportunity to discuss how weird she looks after undergoing surgeries to look more like Barbie.
“Everyone wants a slim figure. Everyone gets breasts done. Everyone fixes up their face if it’s not ideal, you know?” she told GQ, “that’s because of the race-mixing.”
“For example, a Russian marries an Armenian, they have a kid, a cute girl, but she has her dad’s nose. She goes and files it down a little, and it’s all good. Ethnicities are mixing now, so there’s degeneration, and it didn’t used to be like that.
Clearly, her comments lack logic altogether and sound more hilarious than offensive if you come to think of it.
In any case, here are some of her never- seen-before selfies in which she is – almost – not wearing any makeup.
Unlike how Lukyanova usually appears, she looks quite human and real in the photos below:
