With 22 million babies and toddlers in Indonesia, the country is fast becoming a haven for manufacturers of powered milk and disposable diapers. The young population is fast attracting investors to the sprawling archipelago.Indonesians drink less milk than most other countries in Asia, showing potential for growth.

Another reason Indonesia is tempting to investors is its high birth rate - Asia's second after India. According to U.S. census bureau, in 2011 Indonesia stood as the 4thlargest population in the world and the Bureau of Statistics in Indonesia stated that 237.641.326 people lived In Indonesia and it currently has 22 million people under age four.

Milk sales are up 9 pct/yr whereas diaper sales went up 35 pct/yr from 2006-11. Brands like Nestle, Indofood and P&G are doing their utmost to tap the demand.
