However, good news for all those in favor of a White Christmas, this year, they are likely to be lucky.

It was predicted on Saturday that there was an increased change of a white Christmas in the US, especially in the Rocky Mountains, Upper Midwest, Great Lakes and interior Northeast, this year.

And its not just the U.S, the UK is also expecting a white Christmas in several parts of the country after weather conditions deteriorated over the past weekend.

However, the Met Office says a white Christmas is not unusual in the UK and that snow has fallen on Christmas Day 38 times in the last 52 years. The last white Christmas was 2010 when heavy falls left snow on the ground at 83 percent of the Met Office's measuring stations.
