
Beauty pageants have come under a lot of controversy over the years. From feminist rights activists, to gay rights activists, and now most recently transgender activists fought the Miss Universe organization which ended in Donald Trump removing the “ban on transgender contestants” after Canadian competitor Jenna Talackova was going to be disqualified from the pageant for being born a male.
Yes beauty contestants come from all walks of life and Connor Boss is no different. Connor is the first legally blind beauty contestant in the Miss Florida USA beauty pageant. Connor has Stargardt’s disease, a condition she developed when she was just 8 years old. It is a retina-ravaging disease that gradually worsens until complete blindness and is incurable.
But Connor does not let that prevent her from pushing forward in life and becoming an inspiration to others around her. Watch the interview below to learn more about this inspirational beauty queen.
