The summer is almost here and pretty soon people will be busting out their swimsuits and flip flops to hit the pool or beach. Putting on those swimsuits for the first time after the cold seasons can make anyone a little self-conscious. If that’s you then you’re not alone. As a Victoria’s Secret model, Lily Aldridge lives in a swimsuit and lingerie year round. She understands the pressure of being in good shape 24/7. In this interview Lily Aldridge diet tips are revealed for getting swimsuit-ready.
Everyone knows that diet and exercise go hand in hand when you are trying to get swimsuit-ready or even if you just want to look good. Lily Aldridge’s diet tips begin with her exercise regimen. “I do tons of butt lifts!” shared Lily. She explained that she does Ballet Beautiful to stay in shape.
Ballet Beautiful was created by Mary Helen Bowers, former ballerina and Natalie Portman's trainer for Black Swan. Basically you just do the Ballet moves that ballerina’s do to get ready for a performance. If Ballet is not your thing find some form of exercise that is fun for you. You definitely don’t want to be bored when you work out.
Lily Aldridge is a self-proclaimed “foody.” But during special events Lily Aldridge’s diet consists of no salt, or at least as little as possible. Because salt causes the body to retain water and make you heavier, Lily is smart to avoid all that to keep her slim little figure. She also says she eats “really clean” during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show.
Lily Aldridge’s diet includes not just food and exercise, but getting plenty of sleep! Getting enough rest is so important when you are trying to lose weight. If you don’t get enough rest it could cause you to eat more. Also since you may be hungrier you may be less likely to make wise decisions about what you eat and splurge on bad food. The other thing when your tired is you lack energy and will be less motivated to exercise.
