A 5-year-old girl from Pennsylvania got suspended from school and was labeled a terrorist for supposedly threatening to shoot a fellow classmate with a Hello Kitty bubble gun. When the administration heard of the little girl’s threat they took drastic actions and suspended the 5-year-old for ten days, and ordered a psychiatric evaluation.
The name of the owner of the Hello Kitty gun could not be disclosed. The girl’s parents were outraged and are now suing the school to remove this incident from the child’s permanent record. According to the family’s lawyer Robin Ficker the family has tried to change schools for the girl but the school won’t take the little girl because of the mark on her record. The psychiatric evaluation revealed that the child is in fact normal.
When other people from the community were asked what they thought of this incident on camera, they didn’t seem to think a girl threatening/playing with a hello kitty gun was a big deal. “Bubbles are harmless”, they laughed. It was reported that the Hello Kitty gun was not even on the campus when the little girl made the threat.
