Anastasiya Shpagina is a 19-year old girl from Ukraine. She is also a real-life anime girl.  This anime girl has her own YouTube channel where she posts videos of how to anime makeup, interviews of herself, and strange videos of herself staring into the camera.

If you are not familiar, anime are Japanese cartoons and computer animation. According to Wikipedia, “The word is the Japanese abbreviated pronunciation of "animation". The intended meaning of the term sometimes varies depending on the context.”

Much like the real-life Ukrainian Barbie-doll, many girls desire to achieve the appearance of a real-life anime girl. How come girls want to look like these characters? Women even go as far as to getting cosmetic surgery in order to achieve their artificial looks.

Make-up artist Bobbi Brown stated, “Cosmetic surgery is creating a weird tribe of women who don't look better - they just look unnatural.” But that’s the point, they want to look plastic, or in the real-life anime girl’s case, animated.
