Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Featuring 2013 Spring/Summer Collection Starts (Video)

It's a happy-go-lucky feeling for Spring/Summer 2013 that more than 100 designers will send down the New York runways when Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week opens its weeklong run.

Ralph Lauren, Max Azria, Nicole Miller, Richard Chai, Christian Siriano, Monique Lhuillier, Zac Posen, Diane von Furstenberg, Vera Wang and Tory Burch are just some of the 26 names that will be showing their work.

Elle Magazine's Creative Director, Joe Zee says he thinks designers will go carefree and unstructured. Another inspiration this season could be the 2013 release of "The Great Gatsby". Karla Martinez of "W Magazine" says designers are sure to draw ideas from the much-anticipated film.

The semi-annual event is held in February and September of each year.
