The Miniatur Wunderland model exhibition in Hamburg, Germany, features both the world’s largest and most intricate model railway and, since May 2011, it even includes the world’s largest model airport as well. A large number of staff members have spent years constructing the expensive miniature sections with a mind-boggling attention to detail. It actually makes your jaw drop to see such workmanship.

For a few minutes one actually starts believing that it’s all real. And the interesting bit is, that they are not even finished yet. According to attraction’s latest promo, the 260 Wunderland employees plan to keep adding new sections to the sprawling exhibit until such time as science perfects the shrink-ray technology necessary for them to finally join their diminutive brothers and sisters in the Little Utopia.

Also what is interesting is that this model is not just put up for viewing purpose. In fact it has over 100 buttons that allow the viewers to interact with the model itself!
