Miles, aka #SFBATKID, is suffering from the life threatening disease leukemia. Miles lives in Northern California. When Make A Wish asked the public to participate in Miles’ dream of becoming Batman, thousands of people’s hearts were touched.  As of now, over 10,000 people have signed up to help make this little boys dream come true.

The Make A Wish foundation has gone to new lengths to make this five-year-old boys dream come to life. Miles favorite superhero is Batman and he said it would be his dream to become Batman. On November 15, 2013 Make A Wish will be turning San Francisco into Gotham City. Thousands of volunteers will go to San Francisco Union Square and ask for Batkid’s help in rescuing San Francisco’s mascot Lou Seal.

Originally this was the only part where Make A Wish was asking for volunteers. However so many people signed up that they will be having volunteers cheering on Batkid at his entire rescue saving events of the day. Not only will San Francisco citizens and people around the bay area be participating, but many are even flying in to San Francisco just to participate.  One teacher wrote from Ohio saying: "As soon as my husband and I heard about this on our radio, we got online and ordered our airline tickets."

This has turned into the largest event the Make A Wish foundation has ever put on. So how are they keeping such a big secret from Miles the #SFBATKID? We’ll just have to wait and find out. Let us know if you are participating in the event and feel free to leave any comments below.

Note, if you are sharing any information about Miles the foundation has asked you to use the hashtag #SFBATKID.
