There may be terrible stories doing the rounds about her and she has undoubtedly been in the limelight recently for all the wrong reasons, but regardless of the negative publicity, divorce proceedings, court cases and allegations against her, we still love Nigella Lawson and will continue to do so.
People are calling her “a habitual criminal”; and tarnishing her reputation. Even Nigella’s personal assistants have bucketsful of allegations against her, saying things like she bribed them to keep her secret.
But for us, she is still the queen of the kitchen.
Here are three reasons why:
She Is Graceful And Resilient She hasn’t had an easy life. Nigella lost her mother and younger sister to cancer and her first husband, John Diamond, also died of the same disease in 2001. Then came her ‘tiff’ with husband Charles Saatchi and all that has followed.
Despite the horrors of the recent past, Nigella has always appreciated her fans and even presented them with a ‘Holiday Hotcake’ recipe.
No doubt she has support.
Let's be clear about this: There was NO EXCUSE for what Charles Saatchi did to Nigella Lawson. Any alleged drug use is simply irrelevant.— Michael Byrnes (@MichaelByrnes) November 28, 2013
No interest in what drugs Nigella Lawson is alleged to have taken. Men who grab women by the throat are scum. End of.— Owen Jones (@OwenJones84) November 26, 2013
This relentless beating up on @Nigella_Lawson - in every sense - is disgusting. She's a lovely lady, who's been through hell in her life.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) November 26, 2013
#nigellalawson surely needs support, not a public trashing, still a great cook, only a week since she was hailed a domestic goddess !— paulthebaker (@wwwpaulthebaker) November 28, 2013
Food, Glorious Food
Nobody has ever made food look this good.
No woman looks this beautiful in the kitchen
She flirts with the camera, makes you fall in love with food and remain guilt free about that dollop of cream, the extra ounce of butter and the creamy hot cocoa with marshmallows.
She oozes love and looks as good as her food.
Tell us if we are wrong:
Whether the court decides against Nigella or even if she turns out to be a drug addict, these are human flaws. As perfect as she may seem, the ‘domestic goddess’ is after all human.
A Human who is also good, has done so many great things, and she does not deserve to be torn apart in this manner.
