McDonalds may be the giant of its industry but it seems that Taco Bell’s marketing team is smarter.
The latter revealed the ace up its sleeve when they hired 25 people named ‘Ronald McDonald’ to endorse their brand.
The‘real Ronald McDonalds of America’ said lines like, “I’m Ronald McDonald and I love Taco Bell’s new breakfast.”
It may have been a clever way of hitting at McDonald’s domination of the market, but the fast food giant was not willing to take this one lying down. It was the beginning of a fast food advertising war.
Enters McDonald in the arena:
And then there was the tweet:

And then came the free coffee:
It is quite possible that Taco Bell, in their aim to boost breakfast sales, have landed themselves in a pot of boiling hot porridge.
