Talia Joy Castellano, the 13-year-old YouTube beauty guru and Covergirl who lost her battle to cancer on July 16, 2013, is having her dying wishes fulfilled by her fans. Talia made a “bucket list” just five days before she passed away. Because Talia was too ill to be able to fulfill any of these things her fans are taking it upon themselves to do what Talia couldn’t and posting pictures with the hash tag #taliasbucketlist.
Talia Joy Castellano’s mother expressed to The Daily News that she “Couldn’t be more touched” at what her fans are doing in her honor. Talia’s bucket list included things like: dancing in the rain, jump in a pool of whipped cream, get a tattoo, get a nose piercing, and many more. Below is a picture of the list:
Talia was diagnosed with a very rare form of childhood cancer known as neuroblastoma back in 2007. Talia Joy Castellano created the makeup channel on YouTube to share her passion of makeup and beauty, and also to create a platform in which she could share her battle and struggles with cancer. Eventually the young guru ended up with a following of 650,000 subscribers. She stole the hearts of many other beauty gurus like Michelle Phan and Kandee Johnson. Talia even appeared on Ellen Degeneres, who was the one that sponsored Talia as an honorary Covergirl.
Talia’s sister, Mattia, also plans to fulfill Talia’s dream to have her own makeup and clothing line. Which one of #taliasbucketlist would you want to fulfill? Have you fulfilled any of them? Let us know in the comments below.
