Thousands Of Marijuana Plants Overtake German Town

Citizens of Gottingen Germany awoke today to find that their once peaceful town now resembled a Dave Matthew Band concert after thousands of marijuana plants planted by German activists finally took bloom. Last month, German pro-weed activists planted tens of thousands of seeds throughout Gottinberg in order to protest Germany’s restrictive policies on marijuana use. The seeds did not raise much attention at the time, but after thousands of marijuana plants bloomed from the ground today, the protest has become an international story.

Ever since marijuana plants first started popping up last week, Gottenberg police have been hard at work removing the plants from their new home. The plants have sprouted faster than officials can stop them, however, and after today’s massive plant boom, the three-leaved plants are visible all around the town. German police are desperate to stop the protest, with reports that, “Officers have been told to be vigilant and destroy any plants they see.”

Numerous plants have sprung up near the Gottenberg police station, and those plants have been cut down with extreme prejudice. Even at the police station, however, the rate of marijuana plant growth has been too much for police to keep in control.

The marijuana plants themselves have grown, but most have yet to grow any cannabis buds. With the massive amount of seeds that have been planted, and the apparent excellent weed-growing conditions in central Germany, at least one German will get high off some protest bud he found underneath a freeway overpass.

The weed won’t be very good, but that won’t stop the man from telling everyone he can about the time he found weed under a freeway overpass.
