Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes: Did Scientology Break Them Up?

The Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorce are leading many people to speculate if it was ultimately their religion that broke them up.Tom Cruise is a high profile Scientologist while Katie Holmes is a Catholic.

It is said that Katie Holmes filed for divorce because of her concern for daughter Suri Cruise. In the Scientology religion you must be indoctrinated by going away on a Scientology organization called Sea organization, which apparently Katie did not want Suri to do.

If religion is the main reason for the Tom Cruise Katie Holmes divorce then this is leaving many people to question if religion should be a relationship deal breaker. The hosts of Good Morning America discussed the issue on GMA and took a poll among their audience.

The first question GMA asked people in time square: should faith be a deal breaker in a relationship? 51% of the voters said “yes, faith should be a deal breaker”, while 49% said “no, faith should not be a deal breaker”.
