anti-aging, getting old, getting older, aging

Aging is inevitably what everybody will experience in their life and as women we dread it.  Doctors and scientists are constantly coming up with the next new miracle product or procedure to make you look younger. But the key is really to begin aging prevention from your youth so you can preserve that beautiful young skin, especially on your face. Below are the top 3 best anti-aging tips.

Exfoliate

Exfoliation has proven to be very conducive in anti-aging as it increases the cell turnover rate and removes the dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. This will help reduce fine lines and prevent wrinkling. There are many different methods to exfoliate, you can determine which method works best for you according to your skin type and skin sensitivity.

Antioxidants

Antioxidants are substances that prevent oxidation in food, products, and your body. Antioxidants are crucial. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that occurs when a molecule loses one electron when two or more substances interact, an example of a fruit oxidizing is when an apple turns brown, basically, when something goes bad. The same thing happens with our skin which can produce free-radical damage. With Free radicals a chain reaction occurs in the cells and it keeps stealing electrons causing damage or even death to the cells. This can lead to anti-aging, or even worse, cancer.

There is a couple ways you can get antioxidants, you can put them on topically or ingest them. For the best anti-aging method, do both. There are many kinds of antioxidants. Some popular ones are vitamin C, vitamin E, and polyphenols. Make sure to use an antioxidant serum morning and night.

Sunscreen

They say sunscreen is the number one anti-aging product, but it is also one of the most highly debated products we have since it tends to contain a lot of chemicals which have been found to be cause cancer. The best sunscreens to wear are the mineral (physical) sunscreens. Unless you have hyperpigmentation issues or other skin care problems that require you to wear sunscreen, only wear it if you know you will be exposed to the sun for more than 15 minutes at a time. Wear sun protective clothing as your first form of sun protection before it on.
