Here are five simple yet sure-fire ways to let go of your stress!

1.        Massage your ears

Yup. It works wonders! It actually releases endorphins in the brain and makes you feel good. Start by gently rubbing your earlobes with your thumb and index finger. Then squeeze the outer edges of your ears all the way to the top. Finish by using your index fingers and middle fingers to massage behind the ears on the bony part of your skull.

2.        Try laughing

Just laugh out loud even if  there’s nothing to laugh about! The power of laughter, in fact just the voice of it reaching your years has a wonderful effect on our mood. Laughter no doubt is is one of the best feel good things we can do.

3.       Breathe!

Breathing deeply and completely is one of the most effective stress reducers there is. Take a moment to monitor the quality of your breathing.  Sit or stand with an erect upper body posture. Close your mouth and breathe in slowly and deeply through your nose for a count of seven. Hold your breath for another seven counts. Exhale through your mouth making a whooshing sound at the back of your throat, again for a count of seven. Wait seven counts after exhaling, and inhale again. Repeat three times.

  4. Listen to music

Nothing soothes a mind than music! Listen whatever genre pleases you. Stay away from sob songs of course! Listening to music that you love calms your nervous system. While you’re at it, just indulge in a few dance moves to enhance the feel-good moment!
