Everyone wants the perfect pair of jeans that sets them apart from the crowd. What if you could honestly say a lion made your favorite jeans?
Japanese zoo volunteers launched Zoo Jeans to raise money for animal conservation efforts at Kamine Park. The people behind Zoo Jeans say the pants are "created from pure animal instinct." The fashionable animals -- lions and tigers and bears (really) -- rip into denim-covered toys at the Hitachi zoo.
"The animals roar, gnaw and claw at their toys, and when they're done we gather up what's left of the damaged denim. It's from this unique fabric that we make the jeans."
Hopefully Zoo Jeans takes off -- the animals won't just have a better chance at survival; they could be the next "Project Runway" sensation.
