UPDATE: The teenage girl who was pepper sprayed and sexually assaulted at a Donald Trump rally has been charged with disorderly conduct.
Alex Drake accused a 59-year-old man of groping her; however, police claim that after conducting an investigation they've found no evidence to support her claims, according to Raw Story.
The reason Drake faces the disorderly conduct charge is because when she confronted the man who she believed violated her, she punched him.
The man — who has chosen to remain anonymous — decided not to press assault charges against the teen so she will be referred to juvenile authorities. Raw Story notes, however, that it is unlikely that Drake will be put in jail.
One of the main issues with this entire scenario is that violence and assault have become the norm at any event involving Trump. Rallies to support a presidential candidate who claims he can "Make America Great Again" are, ironically, plagued with hate and rage. Go figure!
The other even more disturbing issue is that a young girl can be publicly violated and humiliated and yet she ends up being painted as aggressive and "disorderly."
Shortly after Donald Trump defended his adviser Corey Lewandowski against an allegation of assault on a reporter, yet another similar attack happened at his rally on Tuesday.
Alex Drake, a 15-year-old girl, was sexually assaulted and pepper sprayed by a white-haired man at Janesville, Wisconsin, according to police. Video of the incident shows the girl approaching the man and claiming he touched her chest. The man raises up his hands and denies groping Drake, but she persists on pursuing him.
This ended with the blonde woman punching that man, then getting pepper spray thrown in her face (and on me). pic.twitter.com/0udt7kSn76— Molly Beck (@MollyBeck) March 29, 2016
As Drake lunges forward to deliver a punch, a hand comes out of nowhere and sprays her face with an orange substance.
No photo of the punch, but here's a photo of the pepper spray. Woman received medical treatment, police said. pic.twitter.com/1EOyBbAWQz— Molly Beck (@MollyBeck) March 29, 2016
Drake was taken to a local hospital to receive medical attention, along with a 19-year-old who got caught between the attack.
The police is currently looking for both the culprits, one who groped the girl and another who pepper-sprayed her.
The GOP front-runner has faced criticism from opponents that his rhetoric has created an unsafe environment at his rallies.
Earlier this month, Trump canceled an event in Chicago due to security concerns after hundreds of protesters filed into the arena where he was scheduled to speak. In a similar incident, a young black man was sucker-punched by a 78-year-old Trump supporter at a campaign rally at Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Trump, himself, is largely unconcerned about the numerous assault incidences and claims the attacks are instigated by the protesters themselves.
