2 Still Missing After Accident In Delaware River

Rescue crews searched the murky waters of the Delaware River on Thursday for two members of a school group from Hungary still missing nearly 24 hours after an amphibious tour vessel out of Philadelphia capsized when it was struck by a barge. The crash sent 37 people aboard the “duck boat” into the water just off Penn’s Landing, a popular waterfront district, where people scrambled to help panicked passengers bobbing in the river. On Thursday, the company that operates the duck boat tours, Ride the Ducks, suspended operations in Philadelphia and at its five other locations around the country — Branson, Mo.; Newport, Ky.; San Francisco; Stone Mountain Park, Ga.; and Seattle, according to the company’s Web site. “Our thoughts and prayers are with our Philadelphia tour guests, crew members and their families,” the company said in a statement.
