NEW YORK -- Three construction workers have been hurt in a partial house collapse in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. One worker, who was trapped under bricks for 20 minutes, was sent to Bellvue Hospital in critical condition. Two others were sent to Wykoff Hospital in stable condition. A fourth person, who tried to help after the collapse, was also slightly hurt and refused treatment. The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday in a three-story brick building on Conselyea Street -- near Union and Metropolitan Avenue -- that was being renovated. City officials say it is possible that the building was not shored up properly. The site had been issued several summonses in the last few months -- mostly for cracks in the facade, according to 1010 WINS reporter Juliet Papa.
