6 Minutes Of Proof That Fox News Is The Most Sexist Network Ever

The video shows Fox News men – and women – giving incredibly sexist and stupid opinions over the years on how women should lead their lives.

In case some of us needed additional proof that Fox News is the most sexist, misogynist news network on the planet, this supercut, created by the folks at Media Matters, provides just that.

On the 95th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which celebrated one of the most important milestones for women, the right to vote, the nonprofit progressive media outlet, ironically, took a look back at Fox News’ rampant displays of misogyny. The short video contains 70 instances in which the network’s multitude of hosts and reporters have done their utmost to belittle women.

From men wanting to punch women in the face to telling them they are happier at home, the mashup is six minutes of pure, unadulterated male chauvinism.

TV personalities like Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and Chris Wallace — and even some women — are shown making statements like “Dating is legal prostitution,” “Know your role and shut your mouth,” “Female happiness is an oxymoron,” ”Didn’t men give you the kitchen,” and “a hoe is a hoe, right?”

And it’s not just the men who have issues with empowered women.

Last year, Andrea Tantaros agreed with some degrading advice in Glamour magazine that encouraged women to offer their bodies up to their men and become their personal bar waitresses. Stacey Dash, who was also on the show, agreed with her sentiments claiming, “I think that’s why divorce rates are so high. Women don’t know how to take care of their men anymore.”

It’s important to mention here that Tantaros just recently filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Bill O’Reilly and Roger Ailes, in the process calling the news channel “sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult, steeped in intimidation, indecency and misogyny.”

It’s absurd that even in 2016, Fox News refuses to acknowledge the contributions women make to the society, other than using them for demeaning or menial things. Even after all the horrific allegations against its CEO, every few days more and more women are coming up with harassment reports. It doesn’t seem like the network will cease its degrading and hypocritical acts anytime soon.
